Hodge Podge

First things first – HAPPY BIRTHDAY BILL!!! We’ve been celebrating Bill’s birthday for about a week now and it has been so fun.

Last Thursday Will went to Chattanooga for a couple of days. (Does this surprise anyone? I think he goes there every other week or so!)

Friday morning I had a doctor’s appointment to check on Mr. Thomas. His heart beat sounded great and he is growing, growing, growing.  And so am I!!! I had gained 8 lbs. in 4 weeks. Yikes. But that is only a total of 12 lbs. so I’m right on track (said the doctor). My next appointment is in 4 weeks and then I start going every 2 weeks. Thomas is going to be here before we know it.

Bill really enjoys his job and recently I have really been enjoying his job perks. A couple of weeks ago we went to a Steven Curtis Chapman concert and got to meet him and his wife after the show.

This past Friday night we got to go the Grand Ole Opry. I was so excited because I had never been before – and we had awesome seats (7th row front & center).

One of Bigger Pictures artists, Craig Campbell, was making his Opry debut. It was a great show with Craig Campbell, Jimmy Wayne, Bill Anderson, Crystal Gayle, Charles Osgood, Joe Diffy and several others.

We were sitting right behind Craig’s family and they were SO proud of him. I almost cried because I was proud because they were proud. Man, I am really hormonal these days :) It was a great performance and  I got to meet him after the show. The next perk comes next week when we go and see Alice Cooper.

On Saturday morning Bill and I painted the playroom. I can’t wait for everyone to see it at Will’s birthday party. Painting was the super easy part and it only took 1 morning versus the couple of weeks it took Will to drywall! Sunday afternoon we started putting down the flooring and we’ll finish that tonight. Then the only thing left is base boards and moving in the toys!

Fun Friends

This morning we went over to the McDaniel’s house. They are such a fun family and Diane is a very fun mom – she always has good play ideas for the boys. Today was painting!

They look like such big boys sitting at the table and painting.

Will’s favorite thing to paint was his face, silly boy!

Liam watched the shenanigans from a safe distance.

Then it was time to swim! Will put his feet in and that was about it. But this afternoon we went over to another friend’s house (no pictures, sorry) to swim in their little pool and he was sitting in it, splashing and crawling around. It was such a huge difference.

After (before and in between)  swimming Javen and Will ran around in the grass. After all this FUN can you believe that neither of these boys took good naps today! We can’t wait to play again next week :)
