Will: Our Big 3 Year Old

Will was not very cooperative at our last photo shoot (Thomas’ 9 month pictures) and I had beenĀ  hoping to get a couple of picture of just him to mark his third year. So, after Christmas our friend Ryan came over and took some pictures of Will playing with his favorite things. It was the perfect way to capture who Will is as a 3 year old! If you’re in Chattanooga and looking for a good family photographer give Ryan a try – Ruby Photography: rubyphotos (at) hotmail (dot) com

It only took me 6 weeks to “reveal” Thomas’ 9 month pictures! So without further ado………………..

Leaves!

Our new house has A LOT of trees in the backyard and 3 in the front yard so we had A LOT of leaves! A few weekends ago PawPaw brought his lawn mower over to get all the leaves up and Will was a big helper.

3 Weeks.

Thomas has started crawling.

Thomas has cut 4 new top teeth- bringing him to a grand total of 6 teeth. Lucky him, it was just in time for Thanksgiving where he enjoyed turkey and broccoli.

Thomas has started pulling up onto his knees.

He started doing all of these things in the past 3 weeks! And last but not least Thomas has started sleeping all night long and taking great naps!

An Afternoon with Pam

We spent one afternoon with Pam at the Creative Discovery Museum. It was a lot of fun! Will really enjoys the CDM and had so much fun exploring it with Pam. Thomas got in on the action too in the “baby” section – looking at himself in the mirror and touching all the different toys. Somehow I only managed to take 2 pictures the entire time we were there. Thanks for a great afternoon and dinner!

Playing the guitar & saxophone.

Playing with the modeling clay.

Coolidge Park

We are trying to get most of our October activities in and one day last week we spent the morning at Coolidge Park.

We set out and walked up to the Walnut Street Bridge where Will found this huge do statue. I had to lift him up in order to give the dog a high five.

Will loved walking across the bridge!

We had about an hour to play before the carousel opened so we went to check out the blue rhino statue. Will was more interested in the pebbles.

We rode the carousel about 100 times (it only cost $1 for all 3 of to ride)! First Will chose a horse.

Thomas really liked the carousel ride.

Will thought it was so funny that the ostrich was wearing a hat.

Thomas also enjoyed riding in the chariot.

Mr. Toad was his favorite and he rode it several times.

We ate our picnic lunch and then Papa showed up.

The boys rode the carousel one more time with Papa.

Will and Papa enjoyed an ice cream treat from Clumpie’s before we walked back “home” across the Market Street Bridge.

Creative Discovery Museum

It was rainy last Tuesday and we had spent all day Monday in our hotel room so we put on our rain jackets and ran a block over to the Creative Discovery Museum.

Will had so much fun! This kitchen area was awesome,I think he would have played in here all day. After he organized the fridge he baked me some cookies.

Thomas and Will both enjoyed driving the car.

They have a fun water play area with lots of boats, cups and a big boat that has several fun learning stations and a slide.

We also spent a good while digging for dinosaur bones. I remember this was my favorite part when I was little! I wanted to get in and dig too but I didn’t want Thomas to eat the sand :)

Good Times with Good Friends

The entire month of September we spent as much time as we could with friends. By the end of the month Will was asking, “What friends are we eating with today?” It was a really great month with friends and I wish we could live every month that way – although it might be a bit exhausting :)

Will had a fun cookie snack with his friend Justin – and Justin was a great picture taker while Will just stuffed his face!

Reagan (Justin’s sister) and Thomas playing. They don’t look very happy in this picture but I promise they were having a fun time. Reagan is about 4 weeks older than Thomas but she was crawling all over the place while Thomas was content to sit in the baby swing.

We also spent a fun morning with Thomas’ friend Ava. They were so cute together – and Thomas was showing off by sticking out his tongue.

We had dinner and played with Avery who is a little over a month older than Thomas. They were so funny because they only wanted to play with the toy that the other one had and they were passing/pulling it back and forth.

Judge is one of Will’s best “school” friends. They have so much fun together!

Javen, Annie, Will, Thomas & Liam

Our last full day in Nashville we spent the day with lots of friends! It worked out perfectly that we were able to meet Annie in real life (her parents moved to Alabama before she was born).

I wanted to get a picture of all of us with all our kids and everyone was pretty cooperative – except for Will. I had to put my hand on him just to keep him on the couch! My silly boy – we’ll pretend it was because he was sad to be leaving his friends.
