Baby Update & Busy Boy
Yesterday, I had a doctor’s appointment for the baby. And I am now officially in the 2nd trimester! (I also officially have swimmer’s ear. Ah, so that is why my ear has been hurting for weeks!) The doctor couldn’t find the baby’s heartbeat so we got to have another ultrasound
I was secretly happy that we got to see the baby again – even though it was scary for 1/2 a second when she couldn’t find the heartbeat. Plus, Bill was there and he was able to see the baby wiggling around for the first time.
I took a picture of the ultrasound picture – not the best quality but if you look close you can see the baby.
We had a fun, relaxing day today. Bill got up with Will and let me take an afternoon nap! We laid around this morning, ate lunch at McDonald’s and perused Lowe’s for our next home improvement project. This afternoon we played, played, played. Will was such a busy boy. This morning he collected several important things in the empty clothes basket: Disney World book, toothbrush holder, thermometer case, soap dish, and hairbrush. He pushed these things around in the basket all day. While Bill was grilling dinner Will pushed the basket to the middle of the yard, dump all his “treasures” out, push the basket back to the house then turn around collect the “treasures” and then repeat.

Will-isms
Will is talking so much these days. It is so fun! He can pretty much communicate anything he needs or wants with words. Although, there is still some guessing involved when we can’t quite figure out what he is saying.
He is also a a huge copy-cat. The other day Bill and Will were at McDonald’s when a man near them blew his nose and it was really loud. The next thing Bill knew Will had his napkin up to his nose blowing – LOUDLY. Then this past weekend a waitress at the Apple Barn was talking to Will and she had a “smoker’s voice.” When she walked away Will talked to us in a growling, rumbly voice. It was hilarious!
Yesterday I taught Will something very important. When you ask Will “What does Daddy say?” Will says “No, no, no” while shaking his finger. I think it’s so funny – Bill thought it was slightly less funny.

Cookies!
Bill has been asking me for weeks to make some chocolate chip cookies. And last night I FINALLY made some. Will was more than happy to help with the mixing. And of course, got to enjoy the fruits of his labor when the mixing was done.
He was looking at Bill to make sure he was doing it right! Because Bill’s favorite part of cookies is the batter!
Will kept a close eye on the baking cookies and they came out perfect! Then we didn’t take any more pictures because we were too busy stuffing our faces with cookies and milk. Fun night!

Mom & Me Splash Day: Take 1
We had a fun morning around our house. We started the day with cinnamon rolls and then while I got ready Will watched “his show,” Dinosaur Train. Ok, seriously this show has the catchiest tunes and I can’t get them out of my head. Then we headed down to church for “Mom and Me Splash Day.” The only problem with that plan was that splash day is JULY 29th. Oh well. Will played on the playground for a little while and had a pop ice that was leftover from Playcation. We ate lunch at Taco Bell and then browsed Lowe’s for a few minutes before heading home for our naps!
This afternoon we played on the slip n slide that Dana thought Will just had to have. She was right – he pretty much loved it! He was so funny running through the sprinklers and splashing in the pool area. Please disregard the fact that he lost his swim trunks before water play commenced. Enjoy!

Playcation: Days 2 & 3
Day’s 2 & 3 of Playcation were just as fun as the first. On day 2 we had a moon bounce which the 2 year old’s LOVED. I am not sure if Will’s class got to play in it or not. And today was water day. I saw Will’s class playing and Will was soaking wet! He was running through the sprinklers and everything. Our class overlapped with his for a few minutes but he didn’t want to play when I was out there. Silly boy! And of course there were lots of fun crafts.
Will made a picture frame for Father’s Day.
This was the best picture I could get of the two of them. Cute!
Today Will made a puppet. The puppet has a face drawn on it and a few scribbles.
Will made this “God made me. I am very special to Him” picture frame. His finger prints are in red.
This is his favorite craft of the week. He loves his “Friends are Special” book and has been looking at it all afternoon. It has pictures of all his friends from his class in it.
I had a great time in the 2 year old class this week! They were a lot of fun but also a lot of work. I made every craft 11 times or at least closely supervised
The only thing I didn’t think about beforehand with this age group was that they would be potty-training so that was interesting.
Next week Will is off to “Camp Honey” and I’ll be chillaxin’!
P.S. Make sure to come back tomorrow afternoon for a great post!

Playcation: Day 1
Today Will and I had a great time at Playcation today! It was a packed day full of games, crafts and music. Will’s teachers said that he was a good boy and he even ate all of the food I packed in his pink lunch box.
This is how Will posed this morning for his first day of camp.
At Playcation he went on a scavenger hunt and found grass, flowers, rocks & sticks.
He made a belt because he learned about David & Jonathan and their special friendship.
A close up of his belt – he has been wearing it ever since we got home.
He also made a “friendship mix” snack one to eat and one to share with a friend.

Random Ramblings
1. I have been a bad blogger lately. And an even worse picture taker, I literally have not taken a picture of anything since we got back from vacation. Sorry Dad – this post is ALL words!
2. Tomorrow Will goes to “Playcation” at church. It is all day Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and I am teaching the 2 year old class. I am a little nervous about him going – silly, I know! I hope he behaves, does ok without a nap and that I packed him enough food for lunch. The only lunch box we own is Vera Bradley and pink – I hope his friends don’t make fun of him.
3. For reasons unknown, my computer has decided to not “pull up” certain websites. For instance, I can’t log on to our online banking. But I also can’t log on to my Netvibes account and this is where I store all the blogs that I like to read. But this has been a blessing in disguise. I found that the more time I spent reading blogs the more un-content I was in my own life. It’s easy to constantly compare yourselves to everyone else on the internet! So, even when I get the capability to look at Netvibes again I am going to drastically scale down and only read blogs of people I know (and a select few that are inspiring to me).
4. I started a new Bible study with some girls in my Sunday school class last Tuesday night. We are striving to really hold each other accountable in our spiritual walk. One way, of course, is asking what we have learned each week through our Bible reading. Well, I have really failed this week. If they ask I may have to lie and make something up. Just kidding
Maybe I’ll learn something at Playcation tomorrow!

Fun Friends
This morning we went over to the McDaniel’s house. They are such a fun family and Diane is a very fun mom – she always has good play ideas for the boys. Today was painting!
They look like such big boys sitting at the table and painting.
Will’s favorite thing to paint was his face, silly boy!
Liam watched the shenanigans from a safe distance.
Then it was time to swim! Will put his feet in and that was about it. But this afternoon we went over to another friend’s house (no pictures, sorry) to swim in their little pool and he was sitting in it, splashing and crawling around. It was such a huge difference.
After (before and in between) swimming Javen and Will ran around in the grass. After all this FUN can you believe that neither of these boys took good naps today! We can’t wait to play again next week
