Rainy Days
There is something about rainy days that makes me less than productive. But, the boys probably LOVE them because we watch too much TV and just lay around and play.
I did have grand plans yesterday afternoon because I thought both boys were going to take a nap but Will didn’t sleep because he wouldn’t stay still long enough to actually shut his eyes. So, my grand organization project turned into a huge mess at the kitchen table.
We did do “school” yesterday morning and both boys participated. It was so fun because Will wanted to be the teacher and teach Thomas. We are trying a new approach to make it more fun but more about that in another post. But, here’s a sneak peek.
We did manage to cook dinner and go to Cubbies last night. It was good to go back and see all our Cubbie friends after a few week off. But we didn’t manage to clean up the kitchen – I should probably do that before lunch today, or maybe dinner.
This morning has been more of the same. We ate breakfast, watched Cars, and played Mr. Potato Head. Now we’re off to play pirates in the playroom.
Do rainy days make you just want to do what you want to do instead of what you need to do? Am I the only one?

The way I look at the situation is; we have no
control over weather: Always feel we have “to do”,
so GOD brings the rain for these play days with
our children! They love it: We have the perfect
excuse and the children do learn from them one way or another! There! Perfect! :0)
