New York City

We just got back from spending 3 great days in New York City! We were sad that Thomas didn’t get to go with us because he was sick {but we quickly figured out that going with just 1 kid was WAY easier} and we’ll take him someday soon. We only took pictures with our phones because it’s easy and I have a project idea I want to do with them. Most of the pictures are on Bill’s phone so those will come another day.

Will is a great traveler. He loved flying and had such good behavior even when we had to wait 3 hours at the airport because our flight was delayed. On our first flight from Chattanooga to Atlanta the flight attendant jokingly said, “Welcome to our direct flight to Acapulco.” and Will loudly responded, “Acapulco, what that mean?” The whole plane was laughing!

We spent several hours {over 2 different trips} at Books of Wonder on E. 18th. Will loved all of the fun pop-up books and we went to story time on Sunday afternoon.

We ate tons of good food and ended our trip with lunch at P.J. Clarke’s. They have delicious burgers, fries, homemade chips with blue cheese dip and this time I tried their Caesar chicken salad and it was good too.

We had to wait a few minutes at P.J. Clarke’s for a table so the bartender set Will up with some cherries and oranges. While Will was sitting there a NYPD officer came in and asked if he had been properly carded. While Will stared at him wide-eyed the man sitting one chair down said not to answer any questions because he was his attorney. It was funny.

We took Will to Toys R Us in Times Square to ride the Ferris Wheel. He loved it! We were glad he got to ride in the Mega Bloks taxi cab and not the Barbie or Cabbage Patch car :)
