Thomas: 15 Months

This little cutie had his 15 month well child check up with Dr. Davis today. He weighed 22 lbs. 9 oz. and was 31 1/4inches tall – right at the 50th percentile for both. He also got 2 shots that I had forgotten was on the schedule for this appointment – TDAP & chicken pox. Dr. Davis detected a Still’s Murmur but it is not anything that needs attention as it’s very common and benign.

He was great at the appointment (as long as he was sitting in my lap) as he’s had a bit of stranger anxiety this week. {Thomas usually prefers me over anyone else but it seems a little worse this week. I took him to get his hair cut this week and he wouldn’t even sit in the chair without screaming so we just had to leave!}

Will, as usual, talked to Dr. Davis the ENTIRE time he was in the room. He told him repeatedly that when he played with his “Peter Can” toys he had to keep the little sword away from the baby. He also talked about how he has to flush the potty when he pee pees & poo poos. Then he told Dr. Davis that he wanted to work there when he got a little bit older.

At 15 months Thomas loves:

  • grapes
  • Doritos
  • playing with trucks, cars & trains
  • doing anything that Will is doing
  • taking bubble baths
  • giving bones to PepperAnn
  • hiding his eyes and play “Where’s Thomas?”
  • Singing “If You’re Happy & You Know It”
  • Will taught him how to do “Patty Cake”
  • His current favorite thing to do is shriek

At 15 months:

  • Thomas is almost walking – he can walk without holding on but he doesn’t prefer to
  • Thomas is a VERY fast crawler – frontwards and backwards
  • Thomas sleeps 12 hours per night and takes 1 good nap in the afternoon
  • Thomas can say: dog, mama, dada, bubba, plane, truck, papa & quacks like a duck

Sounds like a great report! Bill also had a murmur when he was a baby.

  2. Grandmama says:

Wonderful on all accounts: You’re right about
the murmur. Lots have that. Just happy all is well
and that Will is deciding that would be a neat job!
He’d have kids talking early I bet. Thomas will run when he decides to move along faster. Whoa baby! :~)
