Moving doesn’t seem real.
Yes, Bill has accepted the job and signed on the dotted line.
Yes, we have reservations at the Residence Inn Downtown.
Yes, Bill has put in his 2 week notice at work.
Yes, we have told our friends and are having lots of play dates & dinner.
Yes, I’ve been looking into preschool programs for Will.
Yes, I’m making a list of churches we want to visit.
Yes, I’m also making a list of all the things the boys and I want to do while we live downtown.
Yes, our house is “on the market.”
I think that it doesn’t “feel” real because I haven’t started packing. And I don’t have to pack. It’s weird. I have an urge to start taking down pictures, cleaning out closets, putting rarely used items in boxes & donating things I realize we never use. A man came today to do a “walk-thru” and visual inventory of our stuff. Another company is coming on Friday to do another estimate. I asked what I needed to do to get everything ready for them, “nothing” was his response. Weird.
So, we are spending our last couple of weeks enjoying Nashville and our friends. Which is a much better way to spend our time than packing!
