Our first house. The place where we……

…. moved in with only an air mattress and a couple of suitcases.

…. prepared for and anxiously awaited the arrival of Will.

…. learned how to take care of a baby and marveled at how wonderful he was.

…. celebrated a first birthday.

…. discovered how awesome snow is.

…. got into a little bit of trouble.

…. had a lot of fun with special friends.

…. built a special workroom with secret closet access.

…. had our first, first day of school experience.

…. prepared for and anxiously awaited the arrival of Thomas.

…. took a chance and completely re-did our kitchen.

…. became brothers and best friends.

…. our family grew, matured and thrived.

This house has become our home.

It took me 9 years away, 7 years of marriage, living in 3 cities, 2 kids & owning 1 house for something other than Chattanooga and my parents house to feel like “home.” And now Chattanooga will be home again.

In 3 short weeks we will be moving to Chattanooga as Bill has been offered and accepted a job at a digital marketing firm as a Digital Strategist. We are super excited! We are super sad. It just depends on when you ask and who is asking. We truly love our community of friends and our church family and will miss them so much. But we are excited to be close to our families – especially while our kids are young. The next 3 weeks are going to fly by and we are going to squeeze in as much fun & friend time as possible. So if you’re interested in dinner, the zoo, the playground or storytime let us know so we can plan a date :)

September 30th? We’re not sure of the exact day we will be moving (the company is providing a moving company) so maybe we can still see you. I want to see Annie before she’s 25 :)

Of course , Pawpaw and I are thrilled to have you coming back to Chattanooga. It sounds like Bill has a wonderful opportunity with a great company! I am so proud of him. God is good! Just let us know how we can help:). Let me also add, it was another tearful moment for me when I found out. Those happy tears were flowing again!!!

I am happy that you will get to be near family, but sad that you all will not be at church or other fun functions. You will be missed.

I am absolutely thrilled!! As a matter of fact, I’m doing a “Happy Dance” right now and you can’t imagine how hard it is to dance and type at the same time. Seriously, family is so important especially as your family grows. I think all of us cherish our memories of time shared with our grandparents and now your boys will be able to enjoy their grandparents even more. As you try to get settled, I’m free most days and if you want me to come play with the boys while you organize your new home, I would love to!

All I can say is “Yippee”
Your Daddy better get down here to finish my porch before he starts building you a house. Ha

Truly bittersweet. I am so proud of your independence- how you have forged a life for yourselves-how you have served the Lord through your church-how you have formed treasured friendships. I am thrilled you are coming to Chattanooga. I am looking forward to doing ordinary things together like running to the mall or being able to attend the kids events. I am continuing to pray that the Lord will give you guidance each step ofnthe way.
