Run 4 Kids

Saturday morning we woke up bright and early and headed to the Brentwood campus of the Tennessee Baptist Children’s Home for the Run 4 Kids. Will was so excited about the race – he had been practicing and talking about it all week.

When we got there Will pretty much wanted to be held by Bill the entire time. So, we didn’t know if he would actually run or if Bill would have to carry him!

Do you see Bill bending down and talking to Will about what to do? I think at this point he’s trying to convince him to actually run.

Will went at a leisurely walk pace for the fist 50 yards then he caught on to what he was suppose to be doing and started running.

Go Will, Go!

Thomas was perplexed and wondering why we had woken up so early!

Will is very proud of his ribbon! Thank you to everyone who sponsored Will – he raised $60!

Will, I am so proud of you! I think it is wonderful that you wanted to do something to help other children. It looks as though you were great. In a couple of years, I can see you & Thomas racing.

What a wonderful little boy running to help the
other children. He’s learning good values and having
fun at the same time. Thank you for being such good parents. We’re so proud of all of you! Both are such treasures to us.

Yea, Will. I knew he would do it!!

I love that first picture of Will- no cheesy smile! He looks like a natural runner. How long had the kids in the background with balloons on their heads been done? All kidding aside, it is wonderful that you instill charitable virtues in your children. We all need to think of others. Keep it up!
