Stranded

I had a full day planned for Will and I today. We were going to go to the Y, browse the mall, eat a Subway sandwich and swing by Wal-Mart. But, those plans quickly changed.  When we got out to the car after working out I noticed this greenish liquid underneath my car. It didn’t smell like gas but it was greasy feeling. I didn’t want to put Will in the car without knowing what it was. So, we went back into the Y and I found a table of elderly men sitting around before their class and asked if they would care to look at the car. Well, all of them came out to take a look. They determined that my antifreeze was leaking out and judging by the amount on the ground I probably shouldn’t drive the car home.

So, now what were we suppose to do?!?! I called Bill and he said he would come and get us. Then I remembered seeing a lady from our church working in the kid’s area. I found Beth and asked her what time she got off work. She said 11:30 (it was already 11) and that she would be willing to take us home. Yay! Thank you so much for being willing to put a kink in your day’s schedule to help us out.

Situations like this make me so thankful for my friends and especially my church family who are always willing to help out when we need a hand!

Oh man! I’m glad you found a ride home! Don’t forget you can always call me! We’re close by and the swagger wagon has room for all. :)

Hey, I know all about that deal It’s happened to me too (not lately). I’m just thankful you were at a safe place instead of on the road. You were smart not to start out with that “Precious Cargo).
