Run 4 Kids 5K
I have kind of gotten the running bug. I don’t really enjoy it but I want to enjoy it – so I keep doing it! My first 5K was back in November 2006 – Bill and I ran the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. My second was a few weeks ago when Dana and I ran the Mule Day 5K. The Mule Day race was definitely the harder one – it seemed like the first 2 miles were ALL uphill. This summer I am going to train to run a 10K on July 4 and my goal is to work up to either the 1/2 Marathon or Marathon next April. We’ll see.
Up Next: Bill and I are going to run the Run 4 Kids 5K on May 30. This race supports the Tennessee Baptist Children’s Homes. TBCH ministries include: residential homes, adoption services, a visiting family program, counseling programs, and the Double “B” Boys Ranch. 100% of the race proceeds benefit TBCH – they accept no government funding so they can teach the children in their care Christian values.
We need your support! The entire purpose of the race is to raise money for TBCH. If you would like to support us by donating a few bucks – let us know! We’d really appreciate it
