Big Week

This is literally the first chance I have had to update the blog in a while! And I have the time now because it’s 8:40 am and Will is still asleep! Yipee!

This has been a very big week for us. At New Year’s we decided that it was time for Will to sleep in his own bed. So, we put him in his Chicco playard in our room. He cried for about an hour the first two nights and then the second two nights he went straight to sleep without fussing. On Monday Dr. Swarr said we needed to go one step further by putting Will out of our room. He said that everyone would sleep better that way. So, Will is now in his playard in the living room! And Dr. Swarr said that he should be in his own nursery by 3-4 months. So that is our goal.

Will also got his first shots this week. He did really good. He cried just a little bit. By the time I had his clothes back on him he was fine. The shots did not really affect him much on Monday but he was really fussy on Tuesday and I think that may have been because of the shots.

We are also trying to get on a good routine. So far, it is working ok. He always eats on about a 3 hour schedule but the trick is waking up and going to bed at the some time each day. We’ve got a lot more work to do on the schedule thing but I think we have a good start.

What a good baby to only cry for two nights! It sounds like you guys are really doing a great job. I’m sure setting up a schedule isn’t easy. Hopefully it will be down soon and make things a lot easier for you.

Suzie said that two times makes a habit! I am proud of Will and you. Dad said that you told him Will slept all night Tuesday! He is such a good boy!

Sounds like things are going great for everyone. Glad Will had a good report at the doctor’s office. Looking forward to seeing him (and you and Bill) again soon.

So happy to hear Will is doing well and adjusting to “Earthly” routines Mom and Dad set up for him. He is just the best little fellow I have seen. I miss him! Give him a big hug for me!
