Everything is Coming Together….

We finally have some definite moving plans. It is all coming way too FAST! We’ll be in Tennessee before we have time to blink.

This week we’ve been working on finalizing with the mortgage, the moving company, the closing date and booking a flight to Nashville! (Oh, and I’ve been studying for finals!) Busy, busy week!

But, we’ve almost got it ALL done! All that is left is getting moving insurance for all our stuff.

We are flying into Nashville on Wednesday, May 21. Our friends Matt, Elaine and Anna Claire are being so gracious by letting us stay the night with them.

Then, we do a final walk through of the house on Thursday morning and close Thursday afternoon! It’s funny to say a “final” walk through since it will be the first time we’ve seen the house :)

Then, we just have to wait for our stuff to arrive! The moving truck should be there by May 27 at the latest.

The only other detail we need to work out is how and when we will be getting our stuff from Chattanooga. We would love it if our family brought it up to us – but we realize that is A LOT of work because we have A LOT of stuff. So, we may just have to go down one weekend and bring it up.

A little information I just learned about our new community – Cane Ridge. We thought it was a “new” name for a section of Antioch to just not have to be called Antioch. But, it is actually on old community that never became a town. So, you never really hear about it! (Thanks to Elaine for that tidbit.) Our house is about 20 minutes from the airport, 25 minutes to downtown Nashville and 25 minutes from our church, Clearview. Really quite perfect for us:)

WOW! Grest news and really a lot going on for the two of you! We can hardly wait for the chance to have you back in TN> We’ll check in with you soon. Amber, I think I’ll hold onto my mail for your important dates and get then to you once you’re not in transition if that’s OK. Don’t think we are not remembering you on some important dates coming up very soon! I’m so excited!!!!

I can’t wait for you to be back in Tennessee. I also can’t wait for you to see the house. I think you will really like it alot. I wish the best for you as you face your final exams. It seems like it has been a fast 10 months in some ways. But just knowing we can get in the car and drive over to see you anytime is going to be so nice. Once again, I’m so thankful that GCI agreed to allow Bill to work from a remote city. That kind of got the ball rolling didn’t it. You know we will be available to help in any way possible. We can’t wait to have you back in good ole Tennessee!!

Gee, you two are efficient! I’m glad everything is coming together for you. I hope that you love your new home. That is funny that your final walk thru is your first walk thru!! Good luck on your finals and I’ll see you soon!

I hope you are packing your air mattress in a suitcase! I love the “hint” about your families bringing your things! Of course, Amber, your grandfather has already agreed to drive the truck but he cannot unload it. I told him we would see. I can come up on your birthday and stay a few days if you want me to. But first let’s get through graduation and end of school.

Forget the last comment…perhaps you would like to come and stay here a few days since you will have no belongings!

Things really are coming together! We’re very excited for you guys! But sad to see you go… sigh. I’m glad I got a chance to see you (albeit briefly …) yesterday at church, but we’ll definitely stay in touch and you’ll just have to be sure to come back to visit!!! With sweet “babyDixon” in tow! :)
