The Finish Line is in Sight

picresized_th_1206532881_graduation.jpg

Exciting Day! Today I picked up my graduation regalia – in Columbia blue! I have 17 days of my field placement left and even fewer days of class! My last day of “work” in May 9th and graduation is May 19th. Graduation is going to be at Lincoln Center which seems really classy.

In other news – we’re headed south April 17 – 20 for Aubrey’s birthday.  It will be nice to see everyone while we’re home.

Bill is chugging right along in his work and enjoying almost every minute of it. I am about to embark on the job hunt and not really looking forward to it. Bill just asked why I don’t like to work and that is not what I meant – I just don’t like the job hunting process.

Bill is still working on getting babydixon.com up and functioning – so it should be working soon.

How exciting! I can’t believe it is already time for you to graduate. I’m sure that you will find the perfect job, but I do agree that looking is not much fun. It will be great to see you when you visit in April.

By the way, your cap and gown is “stunning”. I’m sure you will wear it well:-)

It really is such a lovely shade of blue.
    I am so very impressed.

I also predict that this job search will be more satifying than any of your previous experiences. Having Columia to back you up can be no small thing. So…. here’s to a succesful future job hunt where people are falling over themselves to hire you and then pay you gobs of money. Well, maybe not gobs… you are still in human services :)

In other news… you haven’t answered my email about MK.
    Thoughts?

You will definitely have the credentials when you start your job search. I hope you find exactly what you are looking for. Your graduation day will be an easy date to remember (Bill’s birthday). We are all so proud of you and your accomplishments. We’re also glad Bill has found a job that is so fulfilling. Have you had any time to look for a new apartment? Good luck!!

How very proud we are of you! We look forward to a new picture of you in that classy Columbia cap and gown!!!! As others have stated, you’re going to be very sussessful in finding just the right position you’re seeking. We will be so thrilled to see you soon. Good luck to you!

  5. Julie says:

Wow! Unbelievable how quickly time flies! We are so proud of you!

  6. Karen says:

WOW!!! Not wow, you are graduating, but WOW at the number of replys to your blog since the boycott!!!!

Just kidding, of course it is a huge wow for the accomplishments you have achieved. As others have said, we are so proud of you. I know you will find just the right job — but will your “fall project” have any bearing on the job search? Can I move to NY and become BabyDixon’s nanny? Just joking — I don’t think I could take the winter in NY!! But remember, when BabyDixon begins to learn to talk — he’s gotta move south so he will learn correctly!! No Yankee accents in this family.

Yay, you’re going to graduate soooon!

Read my blog. Actually, don’t. I forgot, I’m boycotting YOU because I’m disappointed. You were my last hope! GAH! Now who can I rely on to not be all preggers?!!!!!!!!!
