It Worked!

I knew a threat to boycott would stir emotions and elicit responses!! Even Amy (who I knew read my blog but never commented!) responded. I am so impressed. Thanks for the responses – I really love them!

Today started a 3 day training at my internship – so today was a 12 hour day. Exhausting – mentally. But, everything went smoothly.

Bill is on his first official business trip. And he gets a blackberry to use for the week, which he is excited about. He let me look at but didn’t want me to destroy company property :) It’s almost 11:00 pm and I hadn’t heard from him. So, I texted to make sure he got there safely and he said yes. Then, I asked if he was busy and he said yes! So, it seems that he is also having a very long day!

Yes, you can live on Roosevelt Island. A bit of history – it use to be owned by a family, then the state bought it to house there “unsightly” citizens (i.e. crazy people), it was called welfare island and it was the home of several insane asylums. There were also a couple of hospitals on the island. Now, people live there and the hospitals are now long-term care facilities. I probably like it because you can be walking down the street and you see a lot of people in wheelchairs sitting by the water or scooting around town! Of course, I would like that!

I am glad the boycott is over. Because, quite frankly, I enjoy blogging!

I am glad you got through to Bill. You know how I am. It’s good to know he got there safely. I promised him I would not call so thanks for letting me know.

In this program of yours… at one of the most amazing universities our country has to offer… do you meet other people who love to see a line of sea gazing and wheelchair bound elders?

I know both of you will be thankful to see a weekend: With long hours and busy days you have both had this week, It will be nice for you to have the weekend to unwind a bit and catchup. We will all be waiting to hear about Bill’s trip and how the remainder of your week went Amber. If I have to sit in a wheelchair someday, I can think of nothing prettier to watch than water. It can be so soothing. Is that the case there on Roosevelt Island? Of course, I guess the waves on the beach are better, but can’t always have that. Enjoy your days off now Honey and we’ll continue to read and learn all about what our young people are doing.

MY COMPUTER HAS BEEN ON THE BLINK SO I DIDN’T KNOW YOU WERE ON STRIKE!!! I JUST GOT ON AND DECIDED TO CATCH UP ON ALL YOU TWO ARE DOING.
SO, BILL HAS LEFT YOU UP IN THE BIG APPLE ALL ALONE. I HOPE HIS TRIP GOES WELL. I’M SURE IT WILL.
WHEN I GET A “HOVEROUND”, I WILL COME UP AND SIT BY THE SEA AND YOU CAN SEE YOUR “OL MIMI SCOOTING AROUND.
I LOVED THE PICTURES OF THE SNOW. WE DIDN’T GET ENOUGH TO BUILD A SNOWMAN AS BIG AS OUR PINKIE FINGER——BUT IT’S NOT TOO LATE YET.
SORRY TO DISAPPOINT MANDY, BUT SHE DON’T GET TO BE THE LAST ONE TO RESPOND TO YOUR BLOG. HA HA!!!
I LOVE YOU. ONLY YOU WOULD WANT TO LIVE IN NARNIA!!
