Halloween Cookies and Other Stuff

Williams-Sonoma had these wonderful 3D Halloween cookie cutters on sale and I just had to have them! So, I ordered them but they did not come until after Halloween. The pictures in the magazine were so awesome! Little did I know they would be so hard to make. But, I have an entire year to perfect them for next Halloween. I even made the cookie dough from scratch which was a lot of fun and a lot of mess. Check out my pictures making them!

We had a pretty full and fun day on Saturday. We went out shopping for a few things, went to a coffee house that our church hosted and then out to dinner with some friends. So, it was about 11:30 when we were making our way back to the Westside on the 1 train. The train was not that crowded and this teenage girl kept bumping into Bill and standing awful close to our GAP bag (it was a big paper one with handles). Then Bill and I noticed that her hand was coming close to the bag’s opening so Bill moved the bag away from her. A few minutes later – I see her hand 1/2 way into our bag! So, I grabbed the bag close and said “Excuse You!” It really embarrassed her in front of all of her friends. She tried to play it off like I thought our bag was in her way but her friend said “She didn’t say excuse me she said “excuse you” that lady ain’t scared of you!” Then they got off the train. It was an interesting exchange – one I hope never happens again! (Bill and I discussed it later and decided that if she had gotten something we could have chased her down and beaten her. But, then we decided a $15 shirt wouldn’t be worth an assaulting a minor charge!)

I can’t believe it is already November! I’m really looking forward to my family visiting at the end of the month. The city is already starting to be decorated for Christmas – it makes me want to sing “Silver Bells” when I walk down the street. I do when Bill’s not around to make me stop! And I still want to post pictures of when Bill and Gayle were here in October.

I really enjoy getting comments on my blog – so keep them coming!

Sorry the cutters were late, but you will have those cookies down to an art by next year and may have people wanting to “place orders”! Glad you were watchful with your package and do keep alert at all times. It will be so exciting when you do have your family there. We look forward to all the pictures! Makes us feel “close” to you! Stay well and know we love you both!

Please just give them the shirt! I can’t believe how brave you two are. The cookies are so cute. The kids at school would love those. That looked like a whole lot of dough though!

THOSE COOKIES ARE REALLY CUTE BUT THEY SEEM LIKE A LOT OF TROUBLE. THE ONE ON THE LEFT LOOKED A LOT LIKE ME.
YOU BETTER BE CAREFUL! THOSE YANKEES ARE MEAN!
    I LOVE YOU.
