First Week in the Capital of the World
We have survived our first week in New York City! And we are beginning to feel like New Yorkers!
School has been great so far! My teacher is really interesting and fun and I’m enjoying all the other people in my class. August, school wise, is going to fly by! So much work and so little time. I contact my field placement next week and may have to go in for an “interview” or mini orientation.
I have never walked so much or sweat so much! It is very hot and humid this week! We are really learning our way around the city and the subway system. We have done a lot in our first week – including almost daily stops at the market.
In our first week we went to – Times Square, Chelsea, Columbus Circle, Central Park, Hell’s Kitchen Flea Market, bought a loveseat and bed, and explored the Upper West Side.
